JOBST PitPaks are designed to locally increase pressure in areas with hard fibrotic tissue due to lymphedema. The cherry pits create multiple pressure points when used under compression and are designed to stimulate lymph flow and soften fibrotic tissue.
They are available in the following variations:
- Round — Round PitPaks have multiple uses where progressive tissue change is needed. Their small size allows them to be used in smaller areas.
- Oval — A versatile and simple item to use, the oval JOBST PitPak could be considered for multiple places that need special attention (e.g., the ulnar aspect of the forearm).
- Dorsum — The dorsum JOBST PitPak features 3 channels with a loose fill of cherry pits to address fibrosis of the dorsum of the hand or foot.
- Crescent — Crescent JOBST PitPaks follow the body's natural curves and are designed to address stubborn woody fibrosis in areas such as the base of the toes and the inferior aspect of the breast.
- Half Circle — A half-circle JOBST PitPak consists of multiple rows of cherry pit channeling and can be used in the submandibular region on patients with head and neck edema.
- Rectangle — The rectangle JOBST PitPak features multiple rows of cherry pit channeling and may be useful in various areas.
- Inframammary — The inframammary JOBST PitPak is an elliptical pad of single-row cherry pits for the inferior aspect of the breast.
- Fully-Channeled Cylinder — Fully channeled cylinder JOBST PitPaks are designed to be used under compression to soften circumferential woody or long-standing fibrosis. This product has multiple single rows of cherry pits sewn around the entire garment.
- Half-Channeled Cylinder — Half-channeled cylinder JOBST PitPaks are designed to be used under compression to soften circumferential woody or long-standing fibrosis. Multiple single rows of cherry pits are sewn into half of the width of this product.
- Tapered Strip — Two channels of loose fill cherry pits comprise the tapered strip JOBST PitPak which can be used for the lateral forearm.
