JOBST JoViPak Face Mask compression garments are designed for lymphedema compression therapy during the night. They counteract fluid accumulation, soften fibrotic tissue, and help control the volume and shape of the neck, mandible and the anterior/lateral aspects of the face.
They are available in two variations:
  • Face Mask (Full) – The full JOBST JoViPak Face Mask covers the face with Velcro straps on the top and back of the head, at the neck and above the top lip. An adjustable strap across the upper half of the face allows for full vision when needed. A treatment-related insert, e.g. the peri-auricular JOBST JoViPad Neck, can be added through an open seam at the neck.
  • Face Mask (Half) – The half JOBST JoViPak Face Mask is a foam-filled garment that covers the cheek, eye, and forehead on either the right or left side of the face and the neck.   Its blended foam mix creates multiple pressure points and is designed to increase lymph flow and soften fibrotic tissue.
The JOBST JoViPak Face Mask compression garment is part of the JOBST JoViPak head and neck treatment compression garment range. Other products available in this range include:

To use JOBST JoViPak Face Mask:

  1. Place the JOBST JoViPak Face Mask on the face, making sure that the hook & loop closures are facing away from the skin.
  1. Secure the straps around the head and neck and adjust to a safe and comfortable fit. Avoid too high pressure built-up or restriction of breathing or swallowing. Optionally, you can extend the length of the straps with the JOBST Head & Neck Extender at the top of the head and/or where the device fastens at the back of the neck. It is recommended to combine the full JOBST JoViPak Face Mask with the JOBST JoViPad Neck (peri-auricular).
  1. Check correct positioning regularly.

Other recommendations:

  • Adjust for comfortable fit, ensure that mouth and nose openings stay uncovered but ensure complete coverage of the affected area.
  • Consult your healthcare professional for the correct selection, application, and use of specialty pads.
  • Pads can be inserted into the dedicated pocket before donning the compression device.
  • Long fingernails and jewelry may damage the product.
  • Do not bring the product into contact with greasy ointments, body lotions or similar substances.
  • Loose threads or loops should not be cut off, since this may cause holes or runs to form in the product.
  • Ensure personal hygiene (wash when soiled).
  • Intended to be used by a single patient only.
JOBST JoViPak Face Mask compression garments should be washed twice a week or when soiled. For this purpose, you can machine wash the garment in warm water (up to 30°C) with mild detergent. Do not use laundry additives such as fabric softener, optical brightener, or stain remover. Rinse your compression garment well. Do not wring. Do not dry the compression garment on a radiator or in direct sunlight. Do not iron. For tumble dryer compatibility, please check the product label of your compression garment. Tumble dry at the lowest heat possible.
