The JOBST FarrowWrap BASIC is an adjustable compression garment made for managing swelling from lymphedema and chronic venous disease. It comes with an adjustable VELCRO® brand hook & hoop system that allows patients to respond better to fluctuating edema levels by simply tightening and loosening the wrap throughout the day.

The JOBST FarrowWrap BASIC adjustable compression garments provide the advantages of multi-layer bandaging, featuring the VELCRO brand hook & loop design engineered for easy application. You can easily adjust the wrap using the VELCRO brand bands to accommodate changes in edema levels during the day by tightening or loosening as required throughout the day. The bands' overlapping design provides essential support for managing edema and helps reduce the risk of swelling forming between the bands. These compression garments are an affordable solution for patients with moderate to severe chronic edema and regular limb shapes. Other attributes include:

  • Available in 30-40 mmHg compression level.
  • Removable, double-sided VELCRO brand bands. Band length can be changed and trimmed as limb size reduces.
  • Comes with JOBST FarrowHybrid compression socks.
These compression garments are available in ready-to-wear options. Ready-to-wear garments come in various sizes and lengths. They are easy to measure and readily available off the shelf.

VELCRO® Hook & Loop Brand Bands

Allows you to easily tighten or loosen the wrap as required to accommodate changes in the size and shape of your lower limb as soon as the swelling reduces. 

Compression garments come in different compression classes, ranges, or levels. This description differs between regions or countries. In Germany, for example, the so-called RAL-GZG standard is dividing compression garments into four different compression classes from mild to very strong compression or class I-IV. The exact pressure of each compression garment is usually specified in millimeters of mercury (mmHg) and varies according to medical necessity.

It is not always useful to assign a specific compression class to a certain condition, therefore Healthcare Professionals will make individual decisions on the suitability of a certain compression level for each patient. This is usually based on the clinical condition itself, the patient’s tolerability for compression, additional conditions, and further individual needs.

To use JOBST FarrowWrap BASIC follow the product-specific donning instructions provided on the back of the insert card. Please also follow your healthcare provider’s instructions.

JOBST FarrowWrap BASIC leg piece can be machine washed at 30°C with mild detergent. Do not use laundry additives such as fabric softener, optical brightener or stain remover.  Do not tumble dry. Do not wring or twist. Flat dry only. Do not dry the compression garment on a radiator or in direct sunlight. Do not use bleach, dry clean or iron.


Extra tip: Fold the VELCRO brand hook & loop fastener back on itself when removing the product or before washing. This will make it easier to reapply the product next time and avoid damaging the garment. Follow the provided care instructions to ensure a longer life span for your wrap.
